Jennifer Denchak Wetzel, an advocate dedicated to serving Pennsylvania’s farm and agri-business community, has spent the past fifteen years providing legal counsel to various agricultural businesses across the state. Her knowledge spans a wide spectrum of legal issues, with a focus on business succession planning, real estate, and asset preservation within the agricultural law framework. She received the Best Lawyer accolade for real estate for 2024.
Jennifer is recognized for her profound understanding of agricultural matters and has shared her insights through presentations for esteemed organizations such as the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Pennsylvania Farm Link, and Pennsylvania Bankers Association. Her commitment to the agricultural sector extends to her role as a Succession Coordinator for the International Farm Transition Network and the Pennsylvania Center for Dairy Excellence.
Jennifer is admitted to practice in the Pennsylvania Bar and the United States Supreme Court, exemplifying her dedication to the legal profession at both state and national levels. Her journey is characterized by a profound commitment to the legal needs of Pennsylvania’s agricultural community, and she continues to be a driving force in shaping the legal landscape for the benefit of her clients. Appointed by Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, Jennifer serves on the Advisory Board for the Agricultural Business Development Center, contributing her knowledge and experience to shape policies that impact the agricultural community.
Jennifer maintains memberships in professional organizations such as the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Dauphin County Bar Association. Her commitment to her profession is evident in her involvement with the Agricultural Law Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and her former role as a Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates Member.
Jennifer’s educational journey reflects her commitment to excellence. She graduated cum laude from the Pennsylvania State University – Dickinson School of Law, where she was a member of the Penn State Law Review, the Appellate Moot Court Board, and the Woolsack Honor Society. She achieved summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors from Bucknell University, where she double majored in History and Education.
Jennifer is not only a distinguished legal professional but also an active member of her community, serving as a Board Member of the Greenwood Wildcat Foundation. A native of Schuylkill County, she currently resides in Perry County with her husband and two daughters.
